HELLO! I'm Margaret.
My work in surface pattern design grew out of years spent in interior design, mixed media, and developing stencils and rubber stamps for makers. Those different chapters gave me a deep appreciation for line, texture, and the small details that bring pattern to life. That same curiosity guides my studio practice today.

If you gravitate toward designs with a hand-drawn feel, soft geometrics, layered color, and motifs inspired by nature and ornaments, you'll probably feel right at home here. My process is grounded in steady experimentation - letting marks evolve, refining ideas, and trusting the unexpected moments that happen on paper.
Teaching artists to develop their own imagery was also an important part of my journey. That work shaped my approach to pattern: thoughtful, patient, and always open to what a design wants to become. You'll see that mix of structure and playfulness throughout my collections.
